oin museum patrons, volunteers and board members at the Union County Museum Tuesday, July 15th, for their Third Tuesday event and enjoy these summer favorites. Admission is free to the Summer Crafts, Cookies & Ice Cream Social and the public is welcome! Activities take place in the Union County Museum courtyard, beginning at 7 p.m. and will go until dark.
Choose from the craft stations in the courtyard, where you can try your hand at creating different crafts, some of which your ancestors may have made. Try one or try them all! Among the crafts are corn husk dolls, paper art, knitting, painting on rocks, and a weaving loom will be available to try a row or two, as well. Volunteer instructors will provide the supplies and show you how to exercise your creativity. Union Carnegie Public Library is partnering with us to make an this an event to remember.
Museum members are providing home-baked cookies and ice cream will be made on site. Bring copies of your favorite family cookie recipe to share!
The Union County Museum is located at 333 South Main Street in Union. Enter the museum through the Main Street entrance and you’ll be guided to the courtyard.
